This day has got to be one of the best experiences of my life. A small group of great people, a few mountain bikes with temperamental brakes, incredible locals and an amazing country side. Honestly, I finished the day feeling overwhelmed with gratitude and admiration for the people that I had the pleasure of meeting.
We started the day with a drive to the top of a volcano. Our driver was beautiful. Skye shared her fruit and croissants with him. He was extremely appreciative. Our journey down from the top which was lead by Komang was breathtaking – literally. We sampled coffee from a local plantation, visited a temple and a school and spent time with a family in their village. I was honestly blown away by the beauty of it all. The landscape. The people. And the emotion. I left not being able to articulate into words what I was feeling. I will let the images speak for me.
