Aimee and Patrick – how much fun could we have in just a few hours? A lot is the answer to my own question. These guys were so amazing. Affection and emotion are two things that are beautifully easy to photograph. Lucky for me, Aimee and Patrick showed both these things in abundance.
A small ceremony in the Botanic Gardens set the scene where these guys exchanged words of love and commitment. Patrick told the story of how they met and we all cried. It was just beautiful. It is so obvious these two are made for each other. You can see it in their eyes. You know, you really don’t need much to make a life filled with love. You don’t need ‘stuff’. You don’t need a big house or a wardrobe full of the latest season’s fashion. You need what these two have. Open hearts, love for yourself and love for other people. It’s that simple. Don’t be afraid to take risks emotionally. Go up to a stranger at a yoga convention and subtly demand that they go on a date with you – if yoga conventions are your thing that is… If you aren’t afraid to love like you have nothing to lose, then you will love and be loved like you have nothing to be afraid of.
Aimee and Patrick – it was an absolute pleasure to be there on your wedding day. I loved it.
