This wedding, much like the very first one I shot, was incredibly special. This is the wedding of Adriana and Mark. Age and I have been friends for about fifteen years and we have seen the best and the worst of each other. I have watched this lady grow out of her teens, out of her twenties and into her thirties. I have watched her make mistakes and then learn from them. I have watched her become a mother. But perhaps the most important thing I have witnessed, is how she and Mark grew to love each other and how they are still growing stronger together – every day.

I feel pretty lucky to call Adriana (and the rest of the crew featured heavily on the dance floor) my good friends. A rare group, so we learn with each passing year. When we are all together, it is like time doesn’t exist. What we are doing, where we are, what we are being entertained with, aren’t the focus of our gatherings. Because to be honest, none of it matters. All that we care about is knowing that no matter what, we are there for each other. Come and go as you need to. Hide away when you feel like shit. Cry whenever the hell you want. Laugh at each other. Laugh at yourself. We will always be there. No questions asked… This is love without condition. And this is exactly what Age has found in Mark.

It makes me beyond happy to see them together as husband and wife. Watching the two of them together is something else. The way they adore each other like they just started dating. The way they know they are supported by the other, not judged. And the way that, no matter what hurdles may lie ahead, they know that they will get through them. They truly know this. And it is so evident. Their beautiful daughter is a product of their love, commitment and determination to make everything how they want it to be. To make it right – they way they know it should be.

Age and Mark – thank you. Thank you for giving me the honour to tell your story. I can only hope that others can see what I see in these images, so they too can feel the joy that is your love.
